Ram insuffisante

Bonjour,
en vacances chez mon beau pere, je trouve que le pc Toshiba Satellite intel inside pentium 4 rame enormement.

Suite au conseil et a la désinfection de ce même PC (merci Archet 9) sur ce forum, il se trouve qu'il n'y a que 256 MO de ram.
Ma question est la suivante : Peut on augmenter la memoire et jusqu'a combien l'augmenter?

pour le faire toi meme : retourne ton ordi , tu va voir plusieurs vis , tu les demonte , tu enleve le cache , puis tu regarde a l'interieur , tu va voir tes barrettes memoires (DDR2 ou DDR,le plus souvent ) et regarde autour s'il y a des emplacements libres , c'est la que tu pourra mettre les ram ( memoire vive de ton ordi ) , ne depasse jamais la capacité de ta machine ( ca , c'est marqué sur ta notice ) , et utilise toujours les memes barrettes ( ne melange pas du DDR et DDR2 par exemple , tu risque de courcircuiter ton bios ( autrement appellé " flasher " ) . voila

on ne peut pas mettre de ddr2 dans un emplacement ddr et inversement, ensuite même si ce serait possible ça ne court--ciruitera rien u tout et encore moins le bios, l'action de flasher le bios est simplement une MAJ de celui.

voila je n'y connais vraiment pas grand chose en memoire et encore moins sur portable.

sur le site constructeur, au niveau de la memoire ca me dit ceci : 256 MO standard, memoire maxi 768 et technologie SDRAM

Pourrais tu me dire si je peux mettre de la memoire en plus...

Donc pour resumer, je remplace directement la 256 par une 512MO.
Peux tu me confirmer?

C'est vrai: il est possible de rajouter 512Mo de RAM, additionnés aux 256Mo déjà en place, cele fera 768Mo de RAM en tout. Il est possible de le faire soi-même si on a des bases en électronique...ou amener le PC dans un magasin spécialisé...cela parait plus sage. En plus, par ce Forum, selon la région ou la ville, il y a moyen de rechercher La bonne adresse ou faire poser du RAM supplémentaire à son ordi...

Bah ça dépend de ce que tu vas trouver en démontant, si c'est un slot libre tu te contentes de mettre la barette sinon tu remplaces.

Car apparemment un slot est facile d'accès et l'autre non.

Je te reponds avec du retard mais je ne t'ai pas oublié.

J'ai donc ouvert le pc et effectivement je peux acceder facilement a un slot mais l'autre je ne suis pas assez outillé pour y acceder.

Par consequent, je reviens vers toi pour te demander si en plus des 256 mo d'origine je peux mettre une 512 mo ou me contenter d'une 256 MO?

Bah en gros, soit le slot est libre, et tu y mets une barette de 512, soit il ne l'est pas et tu remplaces la barette qui y est actuellement (256) par une 512, dans tous les cas tu mets une barette de 512 dans le slot auquel tu as pu accéder :)
