Printing from a USB Drive???

I don't have a computer yet. In the meantime, I go to computer clubs, E.P.N., etc. However, in these places, printing is looked down upon because of the expensive ink. Hence my idea of buying a printer, and since I don’t have a computer, printing from a USB stick: is that possible?
I know that printers with "Pictbridge" allow you to print from a digital camera or a mobile phone. But USB sticks, unlike the two previous options, apparently do not allow you to select the photo you want to print.
Has it ever been done to print directly from a USB stick?
