How to convert nds file

Bonjour,
when I take .nds games I cannot open them, it says "open with". What software do I need to read them on my DS? However, all .rar files work. Do I need to convert .nds files to .rar files? If yes, how do we do that? Thank you for your reply. 
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    NDS files do not open on Windows; you need to place them on your DS.

    For RAR files, you should open them with WinRAR, for example:
    https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/24097-winrar/

    Inside this .RAR, there should be an NDS file; you take it and move it to the DS.

    You can open them on Windows. Download the software WinDSPro, which is a DSi emulator. When you install it, make sure to install the icons on your Desktop (option during installation). Then, click on No$Zoomer, which is the best DS (DSi) emulator; it takes up the entire screen except for the taskbar and opens a small window for opening a .nds file. There you go!

    So if it has a linker, the linker is supposed to read .nds files! That's why we created these darn DS linkers!
