Does it do the same thing in safe mode?

If you have a Windows installation CD, boot from it and try a repair.

Hello Kopros, I don’t have a CD and the computer is only 2 months old. Safe mode removes a lot of features and Messenger doesn’t work in that mode.

If it's only 2 months old, don't bother, just use the warranty.

Otherwise, the first thing to do with a new computer is to create a recovery CD. Normally, the documentation for doing this is provided with the computer.

I don't know how to make a recovery CD, but it's nice of you to have replied to me.

Normally, with a new PC running Vista, you should have documentation to easily create a recovery CD.

Otherwise, you need to create an image so that you can restore it later.
I use Drive Image XML, which is really well designed, but you need to get your hands a little dirty:
you have to integrate it into a Bart PE Builder CD.

If you're interested, I made mine using this tutorial:

The advantage of making an image is that you won't have to reinstall all your software and drivers. You can back up your data, but creating the image and restoring it will then be super slow, and the image itself will take up quite a bit of space.

In any case, for your problem, the warranty should work.

    Hello,
I don't think it's an issue caused by a virus or a problem with the BIOS that isn't reading the MBR.
The beep clearly indicates a hardware problem. If the beep is short, it generally means there’s an issue with the motherboard.
As a precaution, check if everything is correctly connected.
It may also be a CPU cooling problem.
Check your fans and remove any dust.
If the problem persists, definitely invoke the warranty quickly.
