Switching from DTV mode to TV mode on Samsung

Question

Hello,  I have a simple question, but I've been pondering it for some time. How do I switch from DTV mode to TV mode on a Samsung Le37b550 television? I can only receive the TNT channels (+M6 in analog), but not the other channels. When I do a search for analog + digital, I only find 5 channels (4 TNT + one analog). It seems that I need to switch to DTV mode or TV, but I don't know how. Thanks for your information!  Rachel

Thank you Bernorenard, it's really nice of you to take the time to try to solve my problem. In fact, I did quite a bit of searching yesterday and I finally managed to find the analog channels. Strangely, I had to select France as the country to start the search, even though I live in Switzerland (Geneva). So I can finally see all my channels on my TV (although I don't have many since we're not cable-connected!), but I still can't record the digital channels (DTT) on my VCR! It's driving me crazy!

Thank you, the antenna is just a cable that comes from the roof (collective aerial), so I can't touch it. And when I press source, I can only select AV, ext 1 or 2, which is to say the VCR or the DVD player.

On mine, it’s a Samsung but not the same model, (it does TV/TNT screen + computer screen) I press source I have DVI (the computer) and DTV, but to switch there’s also a button on my remote, above the volume.

Re-  On the remote control (see manual), there is a button that allows you to switch from analog mode to digital mode (this has nothing to do with the input selector for AV devices). The manual will tell you what is written on this button. At cousin LG, it says INPUT D/A: D for digital = DTT and A for analog. For example, I don’t have a Samsung at hand, but this should be clear enough for everyone to understand. A++

Well, I don't have that button, or any similar button. I've gone through the entire user manual and found nothing. But even so, I assume that's just part of the problem, since when I scan for channels, I don't get all of them! Whether I search in terrestrial, cable, analog, or digital!

Hello I am reviewing your question No. 2, where you mention collective antenna! That’s where the problem lies. You say you can't find all the channels after a scan. It is highly likely that your collective antenna is "fed" by a cable operator, as often happens in urban areas with Numericable, for example. You pay for your "cable" in a service reduced by your collective charges. These operators often modify the original channels to avoid interference with the transmitters and also to place their terminal decoders close to your TV, but for a fee. Check with the office that manages your building and ask them how to receive TNT, for example. The concierge or building manager can also be a source of information, and finally, your neighbors might know the solution if you talk to them. However, it’s important to cross-check the information to avoid falling into the trap of rumors and those who think they know everything but actually know nothing. Re DELETE my response 6 If you live in Switzerland, your TV must be set to European PAL mode because in Switzerland, as in all of Europe except France, the PAL standard is used. So when you set it up, your TV will first ask you "which country do you live in" to determine the television standard. This is valid for analog, but not for DTT, especially! Your TV will search for PAL channels upon your request "SCAN" and will only memorize those channels. There, I believe that's the solution to our problem. For DTT, there is one in Switzerland, but I don't know much more; you should check the website WWW.TVNT.NET where I believe there is a border section that also talks about Switzerland for our cross-border residents who can receive signals from just over the borders. Here where I am, I can pick up our Belgian neighbors well. There are also coverage maps that indicate possible reception areas for French transmitters.
