Problem with cosine calculation on TI 83+

Hello,

I have a TI 83 + and I want to perform a calculation on it, but I have a small problem. I'm trying to enter the cosine of 30°. The statement indicates that I should get 0.86, but when I type cos(30), I get 0.154. I think there might be a setting issue... or I'm not using the correct process...

Can you help me?

Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Is your calculator in degrees or radians? If you don't know, look for the mode button and what's highlighted in black indicates the correct mode.

Cod30 = approximately 0.86, you need to be in DEGREES.

Thank you very much for your response, it was indeed the radian/degree issue.

xd are you sure you are in the right place :)

check you should be in radians or the statement is incorrect
it doesn't come from the calculator

he is in radians for that. All that's left is to change the mode and set it to DEGREES
