Hello,
As soon as I turn on my Pentax (Optio E60), the camera does not power up. 3 seconds later it displays Lens Error 0x01110000! What should I do?

Hello, I'm new here and I absolutely don't know if a topic has been created for the same problem as mine, but here it is. I received a Pentax Optio E60 digital camera last Christmas. Everything was going great until yesterday when I took a photo and my lens got stuck. Since then, every time I turn it on, it shows the screen and then immediately displays Lens Error 0x01110000 or my device flashes red. Please help me, I can't return it to the store because they say I did it on purpose to change it.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem lens error 0x01110000, it's a lens issue, zoom problem, the lens gets stuck and locks the camera, so I turned it off and played with the lens out and it retracted, so there you go if it can help.

Hello Gaelle,
I'm really sorry about your camera, I have the same problem too. I took it to Carrefour where I bought my Optio E 60 camera only 5 months ago and the customer service took the camera without any explanation, I should get it back soon anyway, I hope.
That's it
Have a nice evening -
I had the same problem. Here is the solution that worked for me:
1. keep your finger pressed on the "on" button while turning it on!
By maintaining this pressure, the error message does not appear, and you stay on the main screen.
2. you can now access the main menu of the device.
3. Go to the device reset menu.
4. Reset the device.
5. TURN OFF THE DEVICE
That's it!
This method worked for me. I hope you will have the same results on your side. -
Hello,
As you know, I dropped off my device at the Carrefour service center, and I picked it up; the bad news is that the device is unrepairable, but the good news is that since I was still under warranty, the service center refunded me, so I bought the Pentax E70. I maybe shouldn't have stuck with the same brand, but I got used to it.
Sorry for you, Strangequark.
Have a nice day, everyone.-
Hello everyone,
I dare to introduce myself into the discussion, I think this might help you... After following your conversations and trying your multiple solutions in vain, I had the same problem as you on a Pentax Optio E60 (the lens wouldn't retract and when powered on, the camera blinked red and displayed "lens error..."). I simply forced the lens to come back by turning it a bit and being especially careful not to break it... My device was no longer under warranty, so I took the risk of using this method... and it worked. A few minutes later, the lens got stuck again; I then repeated the operation and applied a bit of grease with a furniture dusting spray. I think it was a little dust or a grain of sand that was jamming it.
My message is a bit long and I apologize for that, but I tried to be clear... I hope this will serve you as much as it served me. Good luck
Best regards -

A little advice when you buy this kind of equipment: you shouldn't go to large supermarkets; you should go to places like DARTY or BOULANGER, much more reliable in terms of customer service.

Good evening
thank you for the tip it’s a shame you didn’t come by earlier because my device is still at Carrefour
how did you find out about it?
and do you know where it comes from???
thank you very much -
Short-lived satisfaction, alas!
The device worked properly for a good hour of normal use, then it froze again!!!!
And this time, it's impossible to unlock it.
Beginner's luck???
Sorry Sara, I can confirm that your solution is indeed the right one: back to warranty service!!!
No regrets!
