Well, here’s the thing, my problem is that I always crash at the same spot in the game. I don’t know why it bugs even though my settings are good. By the way, I’ve tried all your techniques, safe mode, removing one RAM stick, then removing the RAM stick and starting in safe mode. Please help, I really want to play this game, respond to me quickly, thanks.

Here is my situation: I bought the game World of Warcraft and I managed to install it, so everything is fine. When I connect, it asks me to update, I do it, and it tells me that I have a version that is too old and that I need to download another update. I download another update, and then it tells me that it’s pointless since I have version v2.1.0.6692 (which is the game version), and so I've downloaded a lot of other updates, and every time it’s the same problem. So if someone knows which update I need to take for WoW to work, please let me know. Thank you, and I hope someone can help me. ^^

Hello, I also struggled for a whole week to install it, and finally, I tried to install WoW using the downloadable version from the official site, and it worked! It takes a lot of time, almost the whole day (downloading + updating), but it's worth it.

    Good luck to you.

I'm the same, except it's at 1% for me. I tried in safe mode and it doesn't work. Help, please!

Blizzard has launched a new login site from what I've been told: wow-logins.tk!
I hope I have helped you!

I already installed the first one and when I install the second one it says there is a problem with Windows (I have Windows XP and the games are on CD).

The worst part is that I'm sure I downloaded the right DirectX (the one for XP).

Same here, I have the same problem and I've tried everything. I've reinstalled Windows in safe mode, all the tricks that Blizzard mentions for installation on the forum, nothing works, even though the beta version was fine. I don't get it...

Additionally, the installation crashes not always at the same spot, it's too weird, sometimes at 200 MB, sometimes at 450 MB.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

Well, I just called the technical service and they don't have a solution, well, they do have a bit of a half-baked solution that seems to work:

Find a friend who managed to install WOW and copy the directory

Delete the folders wts, wdb, and interface and launch the game, apparently it works, I'm trying this method right now

      Good luck to everyone.

        Thank you for your solution
        it WORKS

I advise everyone to invest in a USB stick or 2 and apply Seb the Crab's solution
it's not too long, about 45 minutes with a 4GB USB stick (mandatory given the size of certain files) and a 2GB one and 2 USB ports

        thanks again

Hi, I have this problem since I formatted my PC!! It freezes as soon as it tries to install terrain.mpq. However, my dad also has a PC where the installation works; does the trick of moving the directory to my PC really work??! Thanks for getting back to me as soon as possible...
      See you soon in-game
