Hello,

I just bought a Nikon D60, but I can't display what I want to photograph on the screen, while after taking the photo, it displays fine on the screen...

Do you know how to fix this???
Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    Good evening,

It's not foolish. Adding this feature to a DSLR isn't as straightforward as on a compact camera.
We call it Live View mode. Whether on Nikon, Canon, or others, this option isn't available on all models. This is due to manufacturing costs, of course, but also because of usability. The use of this mode on a DSLR is not exactly the same as on a compact camera.
It's important to understand that on a DSLR, there is a mirror in front of the sensor (in front of the film for film cameras), and therefore this sensor cannot send the image to the back of the camera without flipping the mirror up.
Without getting into too many technical details, this feature has a very significant impact on focusing and exposure measurement.

    Best regards

It's okay! You have to tell yourself that those who aim with the screen are bad photographers!

Thank you for your responses ...

But it's true that I'm switching from the Powershop cannon to the Nikon D60 and that without the screen I feel lost, but I do think it may actually be for the best ...

I'll see how it goes with use

Thanks again, even for the technical details

Have no regrets - I have it on my Nikon reflex and only use it very rarely. It's not nearly as convenient as on a compact. If I were to publish the complete manual for this mode, with its limitations and constraints, you would understand ;-)

    Have a good evening

    Thank you sanspseudo

The battery is charged and I'm taking it with me for the day ......
The photos of my little ones' wake-up are beautiful!!!!
And for having to look through the viewfinder, it's a habit

    Thank you again
