Bah non il est généré avec autoconf. Il faut être un brin masochiste pour charcuter un makefile (qui sera régénéré au prochain autoconf qui plus est !). En plus s'il y a bien un truc inutile c'est simplifier un makefile ^^.

Ton programme n'en sera pas plus rapide (de même que la compilation), bref c'est vraiment s'embêter pour rien. Enfin après tu fais comme tu le sens, du moment que le makefile permet de compiler, c'est un bon makefile ^^.

De plus ce que tu vireras, ce sera autant de feature en moins. Par exemple les tags c'est bien pour l'autocomplétion quand tu codes, les dist-* c'est bien pour faire des archives etc...

Après c'est vrai qu'il y a des cibles vides (genre les cibles install-*) mais ça ne nuit en rien. De toute façon, un makefile ne cherche pas à / ne peut pas être lisible, la syntaxe est vraiment trop laide :-)

Oui, enfin, si ça ne compile pas, tu as une usine à gaz pas possible, et donc bien embêter pour repérer et réparer le problème.
Je n'ai jamais rien compris aux makefile, en général je ne modifie que les variables.
Pourquoi vouloir le simplifier ?

Justement le principe d'autoconf c'est que c'est certes une usine à gaz mais à la fin, ça compile.

ba pas toujours. Je me suis déjà retrouver à bidouiller tout ça pour que ça compil sinon il y avait des erreur. Principalement des histoires de chemins.
