Hello,

I'm trying to retrieve my videos on my computer but I'm unable to do so.
My OS: Vista
My camcorder: Sony DCR-TRV345E Digital 8
Connection: USB
I don't have the installation CD, so I downloaded the drivers from Sony's website:
https://campaign.odw.sony-europe.com/support/index.html
But when I run usbdrven.exe, it asks me to unzip it, then to specify a path: C:\USB_DRV
In this directory, there's Setup.exe, and when launching it, I get the message: "USB driver cannot be installed in the current version of Windows."
When I plug in the camcorder, Windows doesn't recognize anything.

What should I do?
Thank you
Configuration: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 SONY VIAO PCG-FR Series mobile AMD Athlon(tm) XP-M 2200+ 1.67 GHz, 256 MB RAM

Hello, you need to connect your cam via FireWire!! USB is mainly for transferring photos or using it as a webcam! Of course, you need that port on your PC... Otherwise, there are FireWire cards in ExpressCard and PCMCIA, depending on what you have!

      Thank you!
Indeed, I understand why it's not working!
