Pb with new version 3.6 inforad manager

Hello,

on my inforad K1, the update has never posed any problems for me. Since the software update and version 3.6 at the end of April: impossible! I check the covered countries I want and click on generate. The file for the first country downloads and when the progress bar is full, nothing happens but the software is not frozen: it simply does not continue the download of the next file and the transfer of the database into the module. No USB connection issues, the module is detected normally and I have tried reinstalling several times. I also tried without firewall or antivirus. If you've had the same issue or have any ideas on how to solve it, thank you in advance!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.10

Hello everyone,

For those who, after clicking Generate, see the progress bar fully loaded and then nothing happens.

You need to follow the procedure below:

I) CHANGE OF SETTINGS

-Click on Start

-Click on Control Panel

-Click on the Regional and Language Options icon

Once you are in regional options, please set the language to French (France)

Then check the Number and Decimal Symbol; you need to replace the period with a comma. So go to Customize and in the Decimal symbol, delete it and put a comma. (If you already have a comma, delete it anyway and then put a comma back).

And click on "APPLY"

There you go, then click on Generate and wait for the download time for each selected country.

Then answer YES to the question that will be asked ("Are you sure you want to program this database into your Inforad")

Thank you, it works perfectly!!

Two questions remain unanswered: Why didn't the Inforad engineers design a program that accepts both decimal symbols? And why wasn't the technical service able to provide me with the information despite numerous email exchanges??????????

Hi,

the engineers designed the program without paying attention to regional options, as the files that are downloaded when generating are base IFP files even if they are marked IFY; the base of the files is IFP,
that is, CSV from the start.

Currently, the engineers are working on correcting the program and then putting it back on the site,

what you will need to do is in about 2 months you will be able to uninstall everything from your current version and then reinstall the corrected version from the Inforad site (www.gpsinforad.com).

Why 2 months, so long to fix a small problem? It's because this problem is not a priority
since for them, it's not that serious since it only affects 10% of users.

Please note that I recommend restoring the settings you changed in the regional options, as using programs like Excel or others might damage the default settings of Excel or others.

Hello, I had the same issue, after putting in the comma it works at the update level but after that the V3 flashes red and the diagnosis shows that the database is no longer intact, I can't solve the problem.

Hello,

If the Inforad is blinking red, it's not a big deal; it just means the database is damaged but it's fixable.

During the last update, there may have been either a brief internet interruption or the antivirus intervened during the update.

So, to cover all possibilities,

You need to: disable your antivirus and redo an update, and especially avoid doing anything on the internet during the update.

Once the update is complete, the Inforad will blink green and function normally.

P.S.: If you are not detected by Inforad Manager, feel free to connect your Inforad to the back of the PC.

Good evening,

I just bought a K1 and I wanted to update it via the manager, but it doesn't work.

Let me explain, the drivers are installed correctly, when I launch the manager after plugging in the K1, it detects it, the K1 beeps.
I see the connection status in the status bar at the bottom of the inforad manager.

And then nothing happens....

So I wanted to check if I had any network blockages, and I monitored my connections.
That's when I saw that the manager is trying to connect to this address:
http://67.208.91.104/nashrusell/sv.bin

However, there is a nice error message on that page. So I wonder if the problem comes from that, I certainly think so.

Can someone try and let me know if they are able to update their inforad.

I have the same problem. I have tried reinstalling version 3.6 several times. When I connect the inforad, it updates the databases but I can't open the software to set my preferences. I don't know how to get out of this.
If someone can help me?

The problem seems to come from Windows. At home, on my desktop with Windows XP, it hasn't been working since the Inforad Manager update. On my laptop, with Vista, it works. On both machines, the same antivirus, Windows firewall active, and connected to the same router. The only difference is that one is wired and the other one is via Wi-Fi.

Hello everyone,
I have been a K1 owner for over a year, and I have never had any update issues with IM version 3.6: it works fine.
However, I have been experiencing the inability to recognize the K1 USB key by my computer (running W98SE) for several days now.
After several attempts with different USB sticks and on other computers: still no recognition of the K1! Inforad Manager 3.6 is not to blame.
After several exchanges of emails and phone calls with Inforad support, there is still no solution!
If anyone has an idea, I would appreciate it!
