Hello,

Here's my issue: in the "Display As" field of my Outlook contact, the format used is First Name Last Name, but I would like it to be in the form Last Name First Name.

I have done all the adjustments to ensure that the display and sorting of contacts are correctly in the Last Name First Name format. I went through the options menu and the account menu.

I can't see how to change the settings for this "Display As" field. Do you have a solution?
Because it's hindering me, especially for distribution lists.

I want to specify that I am using Outlook 2007.

Thank you very much in advance
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.8

The following steps allow you to modify the display format of contacts so that the Contacts list is sorted by contact name.
Sort the Contacts list by the Filed As field. To do this, apply one of the following methods, depending on the version of Outlook you are using:

In Outlook 2007, proceed as follows:
    Start Outlook 2007.
In the Tools menu, click on Account Settings.
Click on the Address Books tab, then on Modify.
Under Microsoft Office Outlook Address Books, click on the address book you want to modify the display format of contacts for (for example, Contacts: Mailbox - Personal Folders.) Then click on Filed As (Venet, Jean).
In Outlook 2003, proceed as follows:
    Start Outlook 2003.
In the Tools menu, click on Email Accounts.
Click on View or change existing directories or address books, then Next.
Click on Outlook Address Books, then on Modify.
Under Outlook Address Books, click on the address book you want to modify the display format of contacts for (for example, Contacts: Personal Folders.) Then click on Filed As (Venet, Jean).
Click on Close, then on Finish.
    Exit and restart Outlook.
Check that newly created contacts are sorted in the First Last format. To do this, proceed as follows:
In the Tools menu, click on Options.
Click on the Preferences tab, then on Contact Options.
In the Contact Options area, click on First Last in the Default Sort Order list.
    Click twice on OK.
Modify the properties of all contacts whose Filed As option is set individually. This setting will then override the one defined in step 1.
Double-click on any contact that does not appear in the First Last format in the Contacts list.
Click on the General tab, click on the downward arrow next to Filed As, then click on First, Last, where First, Last represents the contact's name.
