You need the 5 special cards to summon Exodia: the right arm, the left arm, the right leg, the left leg, and Exodia's head. To summon it and win, you must have these 5 cards in your hand; there is no need for Polymerization cards to summon Exodia the Forbidden One.

To summon Exodia the Forbidden One (its real name, as Exodia the Cursed is in the series), you just need to have the five pieces of Exodia in hand, namely (Exodia the Forbidden One, Left Arm of the Forbidden One, Right Arm of the Forbidden One, Left Leg of the Forbidden One, and Right Leg of the Forbidden One). You don't need Polymerization or a card where Exodia is complete because it doesn't exist, or if it does, it's fake.

for Exodia the Cursed, you need to align the five pieces of Exodia.
