Hello,
Everything is said in the message, it worked very well at the beginning and since then nothing, it shuts down everything and when I use iTunes alone it works perfectly.
Sorry if my message is redundant but I checked several posts and couldn't find any information.
Thank you for your help.

In fact, for more precision, when I plug in the USB cable, instead of showing me "iPhone detected," it says "digital camera detected" and then turns off.
Is there really no one who can help me?? -
It seems to me that it happened to me with my girlfriend's iPhone (bought in Dubai) I had to do a trick with iTunes but it was actually due to the messed-up language sync (my computer was running Windows 7 in English and the phone was in German).

I tried with another PC and it works, so the problem seems to come from my PC. Does anyone have a solution or idea? Thank you.

So, here it is, I had to call Apple this morning and the technician told me it could be coming from my webcam and that I needed to update the drivers. Doing that partially resolved my issue.
Let me explain: now when I connect my iPhone, it no longer shuts down the PC, but when I start the restoration via recovery mode (since iTunes still doesn't recognize it), I get an error message (1611).
While browsing the forum and Apple's help on USB ports, I followed all the recommended steps and I want to update my USB drivers, which I tried through Windows (but it's impossible). I wanted to do it through touslesdrivers.com
but I don't know the names of my drivers.
So my question is, how can I do that?
Thank you for your help. -

Hello! What version of iTunes do you have?

We all learned one day that we should never forget... -
Actually, I uninstalled iTunes and deleted it, then I downloaded it again to reinstall it. But with no success, I uninstalled it and connected the USB cable to see if it was really iTunes, and it also turned off the PC on another USB port as well. I don't know what to do anymore.
Thank you for your help. -
Well, I just uninstalled everything, iTunes, QuickTime, Apple Mobile Device, and this time when I connect my iPhone to my PC, it recognizes it and asks me how I want to install it, and it no longer shuts down and even charges my battery unlike before.
So my problem comes from my iTunes, right? What I don't understand is that I re-downloaded the latest version (8.1). So is it possible that there's a conflict with my iPhone, and if so, could it cause the sudden shutdown of the PC?
I don't know what to do anymore; all my USB ports are 2.0, and I've done all the manipulations (at least I believe) that I could find in the posts.
If anyone sees what I might have missed, please let me know because I've been at it since this morning with no success.. -

Hello, I have the same problem!!! And now I’m losing it, I just got my iPhone and I also got my PC back, but as soon as I plug my iPhone into my PC, everything crashes and it turns off!! Does anyone know what this could be due to??? Thanks

It's all good, problem solved after the umpteenth reinstallation of iTunes, the umpteenth update of my USB port, and a restoration at my neighbor's; iTunes finally recognized my iPhone and was able to restore it from my PC!!
Thank you very much to those who helped me, as well as the very useful forum posts!! -
The problem was solved by doing a full restore of my computer and since then no more issues..
Well, I didn't do it just for my iPhone, you know, but because my computer was too slow, too many viruses, etc..
