My HP Deskjet printer won't print

Hello,
I just acquired an HP Deskjet D1560 printer, but it only prints test pages.
I've tried everything to print my documents, to no avail.
However, the entire installation went smoothly.
Please, I ask anyone who has faced this issue to help me out by sharing the right tip to get me out of this problem.

Configuration: Windows XP Opera 9.22

    Hello.
    Have you restarted the PC after the installation?
    Is your printer "set as the default printer"?
    (a small black circle with a white checkmark at the top right of your printer's icon)
