bonjour et merci de m'aider car j'en peu plus voila mon problem j'arive pas a installer msn mesenger j'ai tout esayer mais rien ni fait alor si vous connaisez un moyen infaible faites le moi savoir merci

jvous explique : J'était entrain d' installer msn 6.2 apres avoir fais une des manip proposées, pis là... mwarf !!! L'ordi bloque !!!!!!!
Rageeeee ! (j'avais pas encore cliquer sur OK lorsque qu'il y a message d'erreur lors de l'installation d'msn) donc je fais CTRL+ALT+SUPR et jcommence a fermer tout les programmes comme un fou ! pis c'est là que jme suis rendu compte du truc... J'ai pas clicker sur "ok" ! Donc msn ne s'est pas desinstallé ! vu que j'ai fermer le programme d'installation par la commande CTRL+ALT+SUPR !!!! :p !
voilà la solution... version simple.... ensuite il faut simplement aller dans le repertoire d'msn messenger ( "c:/program files/MSN messenger" pour ceux qui ne s'y retrouve pas en informatique) et vous jouer avec les racourcis ! voilà ! c'était simple mdrrr
jpense que ça devrait marcher chez tout le monde ! enfin c'est logique je trouve !

J'ai fait exactement ce qu'à fait WaN mais ça n'a pas marché! un ordi c'est con mais ya d limite!! mais moi je suis sous windows XP, j'ai essayé d'installer le PS2, ce qui m'a planté pas mal de choses dans mon ordi, j'ai fait toutes les manipulations possibles et inimaginables, mais toujours rien! je ne peux toujours pas installer msn messenger, avec cette erreur de l'installation du composant et cette erreur 1603, c'est vraiment la merde! s'il vous plait aidez moi!!! je suis à 2 doigts de le formater ce qui me coute énormément car faut que je vide tout sur un autre ordi, et c'est trop chiant!!!! sil vous plait! aidé moi!!! merci de tout coeur pour ceux qui tentent de nous aider!
rebonjour , bon moi j'ai réussi a ce que cela redevienne normale , enfin avant le moment ou j'ai suprimé la version 7 .
il faut aller ds "demarer" ensuite panneau de config " ensuite performance et maintenance , ensuite "restaurer le systeme" ( en haut a gauche ) ensuite cocher " restaurer mon pc a une heure precise , ensuite selectionner la supresioon qui vous a emme.....et faite ok

bonjour christophe je voulais vous demender comment vous avez fait car quand moi je vais dans panneau de configuration puis dans systeme ,restauration du systeme je ne trouve pas les horaires.chez moi il y a desactiver la restauration du systeme sur tous les lecteurs et plus bas on me citent les lecteurs et leurs etatrs.svp aider moi car je ne sais pas ou aller pour resoudre mon probleme de msn numero1603.merci de me repondre.

et bien moi ca y é j'ai formater et puis voili, ca remarche de folie, j'ai tout sauvegardeé ce que je voulais et puis voila...pas trop le choix, mais au moinsca marche nickel!
aidez moiiiiiiiiii pr le code erreur 1603 g fé une restauration sa marche pas, g tiré ad aware sa amrche tjr pas! g fé MSIEXEC /unregister et tt la ds executer sa encore marche pas! lol

en fait moi j'ai eu le meme problème , pour y remédier il y a deux solutions: il fo en fait modifier la compatibilité du setup télécharger , é le metten par défau ou en windows 2000, celle la elle la plus fiable , maintenant si sa ne marhce toujours pas, il faut exécuté le setup attendre le message d erreur é faire redémarer le pc a l'ai de ctrl alt supr, ainsi le désinstalation ne se fé pa , é msn ets instalé.

J'ai tout essayer les executabl les machin les trucs...
Et moi aussi j'avais toujours l'erreur 1603 MAIS....
En se jour de bonté divine j'ai reussi !!!!!!
Pour moi la meilleur soluce est reboot !!!
Et oui en fait vous commencé linstallation quand par hazard aparait le premier message .... pb dassemblage alors la hop un petit reboot {voir comment faire plus bas} une fois windows redémarré et reconecté a internet double clické sur l'icone MSN et là nouvo message d'erreur " limage du DLL blablabla" là tou simpl allez dans C:\Program Files\MSN Messenger puis suprimé le DLL vous posant cette horibl message d'erreur ( pas d'inquiétude avec la supression j'ai redémarré le pc depuis et toujour aucun pb system).........
Miracle connection nickel et une version de msn 7 beta bcp mieu que la 6.2 .......
REBOOT : apuyé longuement sur votre bouton de démarrage PC jusqua estinction total puis redémarrer....
Tity n'en sera que trés heureux si cette soluce marche pour vous..

I had the same problems as described above. I had installed 6.2 months ago, and one fine day MSN would not let me sign in unless I upgraded to 6.2 (!). So I reinstalled... and then failed with errors 2755 & 1603.
After searching the internet in vain, I tried this and it WORKED:
1) Downloading MSN (I succeeded with 7.beta, but presumably also will with 6.2).
2) Using the Explorer, I rightclicked the downloaded install file and selected the menu "run as". Then I chose "The following user..". I chose the administrator account that I initially set up when installing the PC. (usually, I use a different log on, with admin rights, too. It is a good practice to keep the original admin for emergencies... as you see).
3) Enter the password for the administrator account, press ok.... and it installs !!
4) If you don't have such an admin account, you can open one through the Control Panel, User Accounts. Just make sure you grant admin rights.
REMARK 1: Although I am not sure what the reason is, I suspect the following: I have the My Documents folder encrypted with EPS (btw: if you do this, make darn sure you have the keys exported, because if your system crashes and you need to reinstall, your data is gone forever). During the install process, this encryption created a problem.... and the original admin My Documents folder was not encrypted, therefore it worked. Only my two cents.
REMARK 2: I asked MSN Messenger support through their panel. A guy named Christian reverted back to me with about 10 good hints... excusing himself for taking soooo long (a few hours only, in fact). I liked that, thanks a lot, Christian ! Btw: one of the hints was to decrypt the My Documents folder, then install.... I just circumvented that by using a different admin with a non-encrypted My Document folder.

b. Right-click the C: drive, click Properties.
c. Ensure that you have more than 50Mb free space.
2. Use the Disk Cleanup Manager utility to clear the temporary files/folders:
a. Click Start, click Run, type CLEANMGR, then click OK.
b. Select drive C then click OK.
c. In the Disk Cleanup window, click the Disk Cleanup tab.
d. Select the following check boxes:
- Downloaded Program Files; Temporary Internet Files; Temporary Files; Temporary Offline Files; Offline Files
e. Click OK then click Yes to start the process.
3. If you have Windows XP/2000, the %temp% folder on your computer may be encrypted. You must temporarily decrypt the folder before installing MSN Messenger.
a. Click START then RUN.
b. Type in " %temp%\..\ " (without the quotes) and click OK to open Windows Explorer.
c. Right-click on the TEMP folder and choose Properties
d. On the General tab, click “Advanced” to open “Advanced Attributes” window.
e. Uncheck “Encrypt contents to secure data”, then click OK.
4. Disable/remove any Spyware detection tool:
a. Point your mouse in the System Tray (i.e. beside the date and time on the right corner of your screen).
b. If you find any Spyware detection tool such as LavaSoft Ad-Aware, right click on it and choose Exit or Disable.
Use the Microsoft Ant i-Spyware tool to clean your computer. To do so, please follow these steps:
a. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/spyware.
b. Download the Anti-Spyware beta tool.
c. Launch a quick scan then restart your computer.
5. Uninstall MSN Messenger:
a. Click Start, then Run, type CONTROL APPWIZ.CPL, click OK.
b. Select MSN Messenger (any version), click Remove. Click Yes.
6. Verify that you can connect to the Internet. Go to https://www.microsoft.com. If you get “Page Cannot be displayed”, you may have lost Internet connectivity. Contact your ISP for assistance. If you have Internet connectivity, install MSN Messenger by following Step 8.
7. If you are unable to install, re-register/reinstall the MSI Installer files.
* Windows XP SP2:
