Copy VHS Tape with 2 VCRs

Good evening,

I would like to copy a VHS tape onto another VHS tape.

I have 2 VCRs but it's not working.
How can I do it?

    But still, if you have a tape encoded with Macrovision, it won't be copyable (or very poorly).

    Here you are on a computer forum, but let's try to respond. You connect your two VCRs together using the appropriate cable. If you plugged the cable into the ext1 output of the recorder, you program the recording on external1 and start it. On the other one, you set it to play and it should work.
    Personally, I do it differently. I connect one VCR to external1 and the second to external2, and in the TV menu, I set the output from ext1 to ext2. It works perfectly.

    It's a JVC and a SAMSUNG

    the appropriate cable is the scart plug (red, white, yellow)

    The appropriate cord is the standard cord that connects the VCR to the television.

      If your connection is correct and your movie copies (rental tapes?) are normal, there is an anti-piracy feature called Macrovision that can be circumvented with a device sold at Boulanger, but don't tell them the origin of your films otherwise they won't know about this device, strange.

    No, I just want to copy a family cassette.

    I've connected a tape recorder to the TV and everything works, but as soon as I connect the two tape recorders together, it causes problems.

    It's as if there are two films playing at the same time.

    How can I fix this?

      your 2 scopes are not in sync. my 1 in reading runs your film, then switch to the 2nd one where you should see the image of the previous film; if not, you need to do a manual search.

    Argh,

    As I read your message, I can't understand how there could be two films playing at the same time, it seems technically unfeasible to me. The TV can only receive one frequency at a time, and even if the scart cable is connected, it takes precedence over any other type of reception, so in the end, there's always just one!
    In the case where both videos are on the same playback frequency, the signals would interfere, so there would be nothing on the screen except for a few twisted lines.

    Well, it's a mystery to me, I just wanted to chat for the sake of it :))
