Hello everyone,
I need to print a 16-page brochure in 210x210 mm format on 170 g paper, saddle-stitched. I’d like to know how to calculate the offset of the first sheet relative to the last when they are folded and stapled. Is there a mathematical formula? Or should I just guess? This is quite important because the image bleed imported is only 6 mm. If the brochures have to be trimmed after the finishing, there may be a bit of white space.

I'm giving an answer a bit late, but oh well…
The calculation of the compensation blank spaces (the hunting of the ledgers) is "normally" performed by the tax software… (by the printer).
Often, he (the printer) produces a blank booklet to visualize (and measure) the total bleed and the compensation increment.
