US TV Compatibility in France

Hello,
I currently live in the USA and I am going to buy a TV soon; do you think it will be possible for me to use it back in France?

    Hi,
    I'm in the same situation as you. What I can tell you is that I arrived in the US last year with my Sony screen purchased in France (my company was willing to cover my move from France) and it works perfectly in the US with just a simple 110/220V converter (buy the converter in the USA, it costs about ~$35 for a 500W converter, while it's typically at least 80 euros in France).
    I am also interested in buying a new TV before returning to France; apparently, I think that "modern" TVs are compatible. I have a friend who returned to France with a Samsung purchased in the United States, and I'm waiting for her to receive her move to be sure, I will try to keep you updated.

      I have a 32-inch Samsung from the US and I would like to know if it works without a transformer??

      Hello
      I read your message regarding your French TV brought to the US. I have an aunt who lives in Florida and is nostalgic for France. I would like to bring her French DVDs that she can, of course, play. It seems to me that the simplest thing would be to also bring her a French DVD player, but I have no idea if the connections for US TVs (in her case) are the same as in France. (scart? RCA? HDMI?) Would a 220/110 V power adapter be enough? Thank you in advance for your response, as I am not knowledgeable in this area.

        Good evening Bristian, I don't think it's a connectivity issue, but rather a zone coding problem with the DVDs. The best solution is to buy him a multi-zone DVD player that reads both ZONE 1 (coded for the USA) and ZONE 2 (coded for Europe). Oh really, is there a need for a 220/110 V adapter over there?

      Do we have any news? I'm leaving in 3 months and my TV is just a year old; I wouldn't want to sell it for half price ;-)

    I know that over there the voltage for the current is not the same (it must be 110 volts).
