C'est probablement que tu n'as plus d'accélération 3D, ce que tu peux vérifier à l'aide de la commande :

Si tu n'as pas de direct rendering c'est normal que ça ne marche pas. Il faut alors installer les fameux drivers propriétaires. Pour cela il faudrait me dire quel modèle de carte tu utilises. Dans un premier temps tu peux jeter un oeil à ces pages :
