Hello everyone

I have a 'stupid' question: I've heard about Windows XP TITANIUM.

What exactly is the Titanium version?

Thank you for answering me.

Hello,

It's not just any software, but a version of the Windows operating system, specifically Windows XP Pro Titanium Edition.
And this version is a pirated version.

The first link provided by PurpleStorm (post #1) gives a brief overview.
It's a modified version of Windows XP Pro, similar to Windows XP Gold 5.5 or Windows XP LSD Edition.

I just installed XP Pro Titanium on my brother's machine.
When rebooting this machine, a nice message tells me that it’s a pirated version and that I should report it to Microsoft.
So is there a risk if he connects to the internet?

Hi.

Apparently, Crosoft doesn’t know this!

Hi,

it's mainly a version designed for servers. It supports more cache, more pros, etc. intended for Xeon.

hacker, my goodness, anything! :))

bye

Well, that does mean that titanium is really "puffed up."

otherwise you should find what you're looking for at: www.microsoft.fr

I had already done some research there, but there's nothing :)

A quick search on Google will give you more info about this version. It has been optimized and software has been integrated (AdAware, Azureus, eMule, Firefox, WinRar, etc.)

Isn't this version pirated? :)

Hi, just for your info, you can create your own Windows, and that's what was done with Titanium. Take WinLite and you too can make your Windows with the programs you want inside.
So, it's simple, are the people who make their own Windows pirates or not???

To be continued...

Possible: yes but illegal!

Microsoft, like many other software publishers (including free ones), only grants its license to use Windows or the software. The license clearly states that it is prohibited to modify anything in the programming.

Reread the license... or read it for the first time!!

Absolutely.

And by the way, the very fact that you have this version means... it doesn’t come from you, so...

;-))

Ok, from this angle, you’re absolutely right, I’m 100% with you on this one. By the way, I’m in the process of removing it from my machine because it seems there are incompatibilities with other software like Outlook for example, I can't send and receive my emails, it's not working.

I installed this version, it's good but it uses a lot of resources; otherwise, no problem. You have the right to make an XP, you download XP Pack 2 from Microsoft and you put the software you want as well as settings or others; this is legal because it's a special issue of Micro Hebdo that explains it, and I don't think Micro Hebdo publishes illegal things.

Xp titanium is a test version with a duration of 180 days created by Microsoft, so it's not a pirated version.

An official link to give us, maybe????
That would be nice!
Because right now, these are just baseless claims....
For now.

At least not officially ......

So, unless some others have a more ..... "legal" ..... link, what are your conclusions? ??????

It's a pirate version, there are a lot of keys in the registry that show anomalies, and it's definitely a 180-day version.

It's probably the biggest fake...

Anyway, not all the options are already set, like the 20% bandwidth, TCP 50 instead of 10.

Nothing says that there aren't vulnerabilities in this version that could allow certain people to access your PC...

One advice: only use the software that is on the Microsoft site.

Ben .... uh ......

It doesn't advance anything at all!
She may be "brash," she may apparently work very well, but she is and remains a pirate/non-official/underground/modified version, call it what you want, but in any case illegal!

If after all that has been said above there are still some who haven't fully understood it, well printed and are still on their little cloud, it just means that those who use it do so at their own risk.
Technical and legal.

And I emphasize that I have no shares in Microsoft!

The truth about Titanium is that it's a modified version, not to say pirated, and if by chance there are rumors that it's an authentic version from Microsoft, then why isn't it listed in Microsoft's catalog?
I have this version, but I never dare to install it except on a test machine.

I declare the debate closed... See you!

I'll get my SP2 by downloading the official service pack 2 for 180, and that's it.

Don't worry, I'm going to make my own XP SP2 completely legally and remove options that I don't like.
