Rice harvest

Hello,

I'm struggling with the stranded sims in the game. I would like to know how to harvest rice, as I position myself in front of it and it tells me that it's ready for harvest but I can't do it. Does anyone know? Thank you.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

    To harvest rice, you have to "cut it down," and you will retrieve a bowl of rice... It will be the same for getting the tall grass; you need to "cut it down." Good luck!
