Sd card write protected broken lock button

My Sandisk card is locked and the lock is broken, and I haven’t lost the end piece either.
What should I do?
Where should I put the tape?
In the hole? Impossible
On one side (top or bottom) of the card? How?
On the sides of the card? How?

I had the same problem, a locked SD card and a lost button thinking it would be useless to me. After reading the posts above and in a moment of desperation, I cut a piece of paperclip the size of the slot, gently (very, very gently) pushed it in that spot, put a piece of tape over it and my SD card is working again! Not saying it's a miracle solution but it's worth a try...

Hmm, I've lost the little "lock" button; it came off, and my card is blocked. I would like more information about the "piece of tape" to see if I can unlock it. Thank you very much!

I am facing the same problem: I have a camera whose memory card is locked.

Initially, I wanted to delete all the photos from my camera to free up the memory card. I noticed that the photo folders were all locked, and when checking the properties, I couldn't uncheck the "read-only" box. After that, I read that I needed to "unlock" the switch on the card. But being clumsy, I dropped the switch: s. I’m trying in vain to use tape to fill the gap on the card, but nothing works, my card remains locked :(
