Extracting a zip file on Filezilla

Hello,

FileZilla is set up, I can connect and upload my files to my server using FileZilla. The problem is that I downloaded a zip archive to my server and I would like to decompress it. But when I left-click on my archive located on my server or if I right-click, I don't see anywhere "decompress", just "rename, download, etc...".

So I would like to know how to decompress it.

Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

    Hello friends :)

You want to unzip an archive on a server so that you can access the unzipped files. With what I propose for you to discover, you can do this as well as compress files on a server.

Very useful for me, to decompress the archive of a CMS for example, if you don't have SSH access on your shared server, rather than uploading several thousand small files directly to my shared server.

Simply excellent! I thank phpweb for their excellent work and for sharing their projects.

Prerequisites: a shared server, to try on a personal page of an ISP (not tested on my side yet) and phpzip

    Development knowledge: None

    phpzip-1-8-RC1.zip or higher
    is available at http://www.phpconcept.net

After downloading the archive, after unzipping it on your PC, upload all the files to your server with FlashFXP or another FTP client (a well-hidden folder, as the person using it will have access to your entire server), in a folder called "dezip" for example. If you upload it to the root, you will access the interface at www.yoursite.com/dezip/phpzip.php
    (www.yoursite.com can also be tonsite.free.fr or ns10.wistee.fr/yoursite).

There you go, as my buddy Bruno would say :)

Wistee is a cheap shared server, with different payment methods accepted including AlloPass for example (but credit cards and many others are accepted). A responsive and willing hotline is quite rare.

Discover my music on jiwa.fr, search for jiwers ab94 and then, at the bottom right, access his playlists.

P.S.: Don't hesitate to say thank you if this has been useful to you, it will only take 2 seconds and it’s always appreciated.

Yes, I saw it, the problem is that I'm used to using the file managers of the hosts and here we can ^^'

    Thank you.

It's normal, how do you want to decompress a file that's not on your computer?
It's a bit like having Crysis on your server and trying to play it by right-clicking and having "play."
It's impossible; you need to decompress it on your desktop before uploading it to the FTP.
