Hello to you___You who know everything......
Here I am, I have neither crash problems nor error issues [returning to the desktop or other encountered problems....]
I've scoured your forum and apparently I must be the only one in this case lol to have a construction issue with The Sims 2.
I take my character, enter a neighborhood, buy a house, so far no problem, I buy some furniture, place them where I see fit and then I say to myself: "hey, I would put a nice cotton candy pink wallpaper in my bathroom", but I can't apply the textures, the same happens for the construction of terraces, the holes, the slopes, the walls, the stairs, in fact everything in build mode...... it's a mess!!!
To tell you the truth__I find the management of the Sims' lives a bit boring, what I used to enjoy was building a nice house for the avatars to thrive in a life of luxury..... but now it's a flop.
So here I am turning to you, You who have the knowledge and wisdom _________________Thank you for reading this post and if a few chosen ones can respond to me—the force is with you.

The solution to the unusable construction mode issue in The Sims 2
can be found on e.mule, just download the rar file "Les Sims 2 Fr Methode Mode construction Exe...by Kurtspirit(1).rar"
It’s a patch that's a bit complex to install and inconvenient compared to Clone CD in particular, but it finally gets that darn construction mode working!!!
I know this because I struggled quite a bit with it!!!
There you go, you know everything, it's up to you now, enjoy...

I also have trouble with the build mode, even though I launch it correctly with the Sims 2 launcher; it creates a virtual disk G:

Well, Aurélien's patch is actually a sort of no-cd that, however, needs the original exe "to pass off". Drop it in the Sims 2 directory without deleting the original exe. It is essential for the patch to mount the image of CD 1, thus unlocking the build mode. If you don't have Daemon Tool to mount the image, download it from télécharger.com.

actually, I burned the sims games... and the thing is, it doesn’t work!!! I couldn’t even find the crack... :-( and if someone had a crack that works WITH the build mode it would be really nice!!!!!!

Well apparently I think we all have the same problem with this game. Moreover, the construction mode doesn't work either in the didactel, so I really don't know what to do and it's quite sad to imagine a beautiful house built according to our wishes without being able to do anything... (didactel = the help mode "how to play" available at the start of the game.
Anyway, let's all patiently and calmly wait for a kind soul to inform us lol.
In the meantime, happy new year, enjoy your gaming sessions and otherwise, happy surfing on the web!

Hi, well actually I have exactly the same problem as you and I would like us to find a solution to fix the issue. I'm sorry but I can't help you, but it might come from a bad no-CD crack. If you have solved your problem, let me know. Thanks.

I might be a bit late, but just in case some say that you need the original Sims and not a pirated version for it to work (Gamekult).
Yeah, I saw that too, apparently you need the original and I still haven't found a solution to this problem, so that must be it...
I have exactly the same problem, and it annoys me because I also wanted to build a house... especially since in the houses they offer us, the carpets are dark and I don't really like that...

Je t'ai essayé mais ça marche pas quand je clique sur le lanceur Sims 2, rien ne se passe / ou bien il me dit d'insérer le CD dans F: (un lecteur virtuel qu'il a créé) et quand je mets le CD N°1, ça répète le même message alors aidez-moi please, j'en ai marre de s'occuper d'un salop de sim.
I installed Aurelien's crack with Daemon Tools and the game launches fine, but there's a problem because the construction mode is still missing and also the faces of the Sims look weird (white with letters and lines everywhere).
I would really like to get a working no-CD because I play a lot on my laptop and it's not great to carry all the original CDs around with me.
