Hello,

We’re having a party with friends (14 years old), and we have no ideas for games to liven up this evening which will be quite long!! Could you help us quickly please?!

Several ideas come to mind:

- The blindtest (on cartoon music for example or others)
- The charades game in 3 phases: everyone puts several little papers in a bin with the name of stars, famous people. Step 1: We try to make as many stars guessed in one minute by talking. Step 2: you take the papers again, put them back in the bin, and this time you’re only allowed two words to make your team guess. Step 3: you put the papers back and this time you mime.
- The pin game: this game can last the whole evening start, especially if people don’t know each other, it’s interesting, it makes you talk to everyone: you take clothespins, give 2 or 3 to each person. the game is to never answer YES or NO when you are asked questions: every time you say Yes or No, you give a clothespin to the person who asked the question, conversely, it’s up to you to force people to say YES or NO

I’m not sure if it’s too late, but we’re 25 years old and we have an incredibly funny game.

You give each of your guests 10 papers that you’ve cut beforehand (a rectangle of 5 cm by 3 cm). Each of your guests writes on their papers characters, objects, animals—whatever they want.

You put all of that in a hat and you form a circle with a small piece of tape. Everyone draws a paper from the hat and sticks it to their forehead without looking at it, so everyone can see who you are but you don’t know yourself, and then you ask questions to each other until you figure it out.

Let’s say I have “trout” written on my forehead, you have “Brad Pitt,” your friend has “Casimir,” and no one knows who they are.

I’ll start the game by asking you a question: if I am a celebrity, you answer no, then it’s your turn to ask anyone a question—for example, “Am I following an animal?” The person answers no and then asks a question... and so on.

It’s quite funny; this is where you discover the imagination of your friends...

Play "bouchons" (Bottle Caps).
It's a very simple game with 4 cards per player; everyone turns over 1 card at the same time, and the first player to collect 4 identical cards grabs one of the bottle caps in the middle of the table and shouts "bouchon!"
Obviously, like hot chairs, there is one less bottle cap than players, so the one who didn't catch anything loses!
It may seem trivial, but the rules are very simple, so anyone can play, and a very attentive, laughter-filled atmosphere quickly reigns as two players try to grab the same cap, it drops, or the two players rush side by side to grab it...

So at our place we tested this, it works like a charm! Each person brings a small gift that everyone places on a table, then the game starts. A pair of dice, 5 or 11 and you take a gift, you open it and keep it right in front of you! When all the packages are opened, we set a max time, e.g. 20 minutes, and continue, but every 5 or 11 you grab the gift you want!!! It’s to die for! Oh yes, a double lets you roll again and two doubles, you change direction! Have a great evening everyone!

  Here is a drinking game idea: La Chochole
  * Preparation:
  -> Place on the table a deck of 32 face-down cards.
  -> Put a bowl (La Chochole) in the middle of the table
  -> Each person should fill their glass (different spirits work best)
  
  * Gameplay:
  -> In turn, players flip over a card. Each card has a consequence:
  - ACE: Everyone drinks their glass entirely (then refills)
  - QUEEN: The person on the right must take a sip from their glass
  - JACK: The person on the left must take a sip from their glass
  - 10: The person chooses another person who must drink their glass entirely (then refill)
  - 9: The direction of play reverses
  - 8: The next person skips their turn.
  - 7: The person must drink their glass entirely
  - KING: The person empties their glass into the bowl (La Chochole), then refills it
  
  * End of the game:
  -> The game ends when someone flips the fourth KING; they must then pour the contents of their glass into the bowl (La Chochole) and then drink the contents of the bowl (hence the point of having different alcoholic drinks, which can lead to quite strange cocktails...)
  
  Happy holidays and beware, binge drinking is dangerous for your health.

You can do a truth or dare, or spin the bottle. I think you know the game and your guests sit in a circle, a bottle in the middle and someone spins the bottle; when it stops, the tip of the bottle points at a person and the person who spun the bottle has to kiss that person, then it’s their turn to spin... it’s pretty funny. afterwards you can do better, like starting a bite on the cheek, the mouth, the tongue... then let your imagination run wild ;) have fun. ^^ I’m throwing a party of the same age as you and we’ll probably do that and loud music and everyone on the tables lol Also I’m looking for games that are funny but not childish, a bit more adult, if you get me lol ^^

If you have some alcohol, the evening will be shorter because there are tons of drinking games afterward if you don’t have any, and then it’s understandable—we’re between 15 and 19 years old at New Year’s Eve, so we already have games planned, but they’re all alcoholic games, and then you’ll see the ideas will come on their own ;) have a good New Year’s Eve
