Hi, I downloaded a new Counter Strike 1.6 (it doesn't say no steam) and it also came with an old version of sxe injected, like 3.1 or something, so I couldn't play on the servers because it required the latest version, 4.6. Now, with sxe 4.6, the game doesn't even launch, it gives me a connection error and sxe is going to close.

PS: I reinstalled sxe injected but I'm still having the same problem, thanks for your help!!!

I also have the same issue with the latest version 4.7.

There's always the same problem with version 4.9 of sXe Injected, I think it doesn't work with Non-Steam because the notepad that appears at the end of Crash closing injected tells me: [E:\Program Files\Counter-Strike 1.6\cstrike.exe] -> Incorrect version [c32db24e414d9d0de8f225f9dfc8c27b](BLOCKED)

I have the solution for you!!!! I had the same problem and a website provided this very simple solution that fixed my issue:

if you have the error:
Connection error SXe will close
it's just that SXe can't find the game because your shortcut doesn't match what SXe is looking for, so here is the adjustment to make, I did it and since then I haven't had any problems

--- Settings? ---

-Create a shortcut of your CS game ICON. Right-click on it, then after right-clicking on your shortcut that is on the desktop. The modification to make is to remove (cstrike.exe") and replace it with (hl.exe" -game cstrike) and if you still have the same issue, you need to update your CS by downloading a new PATCH!

Have fun with a FAIR PLAY!

I want to download sxe injected 5.9 but I couldn't find where.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem before, but since I installed Windows XP SP2, it works. Before, I had Longhorn SP2, I don’t know why, but it worked ^^

the same thing, the same mistakes!!!

Do I need to reinstall Counter-Strike as well?

I also installed sXe Injected (4.8), but when I open Counter-Strike it says there is a connection problem and will close. Please help us.
