Fwupdate

Solved
Hello,

A message from Vista appears at every startup asking me to allow or deny fwupdate.exe, which is apparently related to the update of an LG optical drive.

I can't find how to disconnect this automatic update search, which does not appear in the start menu.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.5

  1. Hello

It is possible to disable this entry using the CCleaner software > http://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/telecharger 168 ccleaner

Just click on the button: "Tools" then "Startup"

Locate the entry and disable it using the "Disable" button

Be careful during the installation of CCleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar.
    1. It works, it's magic!

      Thank you
    2. I don't know why, but I followed your instructions to remove fwupdate.exe. I installed CCleaner, went to the startup tools, located fwupdate.exe, and when I tried to disable it, it said "access denied." What am I supposed to do now?
    3. Go to START, enter "msconfig", go to the Startup tab, uncheck "LG Firmware autoupdate".
