Fwupdate

Hello,

A message from Vista appears at every startup asking me to allow or deny fwupdate.exe, which is apparently related to the update of an LG optical drive.

I can't find how to disconnect this automatic update search, which does not appear in the start menu.

Do you have any ideas?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows Vista Firefox 3.0.5

    Hello

It is possible to disable this entry using the CCleaner software > http://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/telecharger 168 ccleaner

Just click on the button: "Tools" then "Startup"

Locate the entry and disable it using the "Disable" button

Be careful during the installation of CCleaner, uncheck the Yahoo toolbar.

I don't know why, but I followed your instructions to remove fwupdate.exe. I installed CCleaner, went to the startup tools, located fwupdate.exe, and when I tried to disable it, it said "access denied." What am I supposed to do now?

Go to START, enter "msconfig", go to the Startup tab, uncheck "LG Firmware autoupdate".
