SQL*Plus and display of column headers

Question

Hello,

I’m looking to retrieve the column headers of a table (Fields) using SQL+, I tried with SET HEAD ON and SET HEADING ON, but to no avail.

If anyone has faced the same requirement, I would be very grateful.

hi,  what are for you the column headers of a table versus the list of table columns?  i don't see  when doing a select, the result is displayed with the column name as the title

Sorry, I misspoke,

I have an SQL+ that comes with Oracle, and I can't retrieve the field names, with a :
Select * from Table

I was advised to precede all of that with a :
Set HEAD ON or Set HEADING ON

But it's still the same result

We must not have

set pagesize 0

this removes the titles posed by

set heading on

this is just to close this thread. So you should put for example

set pagesize 100000
set heading on

in his sqlplus query.
