Customs Counterfeit Risks?

Hello,

I recently bought 4 items on the ioffer and Aliexpress websites. Each purchase is separate:

-Hermès belt on Aliexpress: €25. It is very likely a counterfeit at this price (~€400 for the real ones). The word "gift" will appear on the package.

-Hermès belt on ioffer (different from the other one): €15 (same remark - probably a counterfeit)

-Crocodile logo belt (but looks very little like Lacoste): €5

-Versace sunglasses: €15 (counterfeit as well, real ones are much more expensive).

So here are my purchases, but I am increasingly worried seeing messages from people talking about packages seized by customs. All these packages are being sent separately, via China Post, and with a value under €30, I would like to ask if you think I risk having my packages opened, and what I could risk afterwards in terms of consequences (fine, summons...)...

PS: (the talk about "buying counterfeits is bad" is not welcome, that is not the purpose of this topic, thank you :) )

There is indeed a good chance.
Never order counterfeits. Never. But the damage is done and I'm not going to scold you ^^
You just have to pray that the package arrives at its destination. However, few packages are opened; about 1 in 100. So, not much stress. I think you will receive them, but in the future, be careful. Customs only opens a few packages because it takes a lot of time. And just think, if agencies can manage to conceal weapons in televisions and get them through customs without a hitch, your counterfeits will slip through easily. :d
I think customs is more focused on finding drugs and weapons than counterfeits.

  It's at the maximum, huh, you can have way less. And remember what I wrote, you have little chance, really little chance of getting caught. The real risk is when you buy counterfeits in foreign countries; if you get checked at the airport or at the border, that's the real risk. If it's packages, the risk is much lower.

In my opinion, you won’t risk much other than having your package(s) blocked at customs ;-)

But I’ll let the "experts" in law take over. By the way, why not ask directly at our neighbors Droit-Finances? :-)

The customs are particularly scrutinizing the products contained in containers, you really have little chance of getting caught for a package containing 4 items. However, there are monitored sites, for example: Wish, Ioffer are their focus due to the problems encountered with their sales of teasers, etc. As for Aliexpress, I think you will never have a problem. Because, on their side, they have removed all counterfeit brand items. So, I advise you that if you buy on the internet, buy only jewelry, accessories. Things of no great value. Never buy over 50 euros. That will be checked more, as there are also customs duties on these products to pay. I had to pay an additional 40 euros in customs fees. So be careful.

Don't worry, these aren't the most controlled brands. I live in Switzerland and I've ordered counterfeits twice without suspecting anything, and these bags are out of stock. For each one, I received a fine of 900 Fr. It hurts because 1800 Fr. is the price of the bag I wanted, but it remains unavailable and will stay that way. They're really taking advantage! There's no problem wasting public money, but when it comes to bothering people, they really put in the effort! A bag I loved was stolen from my car; it's no longer made and I just wanted to get it back. And the other one, barely out three days later, was already gone. It had a very practical shape for me because I had a serious accident, and it's very complicated to do shopping since I have a rollator and I have to stop very often.
But of course, what do they care? I don't think I'm putting them in financial danger because other than that, I'm an excellent customer who has spent over 80,000 Fr. with them. I asked them to send me all the invoices, and they sent them to me in chronological order. I didn't want to not buy something from them; I wanted something that was no longer available. I admit I wasn't aware of those nuts; I've heard of switchblade knives, telescopic truncheons, and other very charming trinkets. And then there's the drugs; honestly, they remind me of the Gestapo.

I don't know the risks either..
Are we on a blacklist for any other orders?
Can they still arrive at my door?

Hello,
I bought counterfeit goods and DHL has blocked my package. They are asking me for an invoice for the online order with the quantity, material, price, and shipping costs.
Since I made a PayPal payment and I don't really have a receipt for the order, only on the website that sells counterfeit goods, what should I do? Should I send them what they are asking for? If I don't do it within 7 days, my package will be returned to the seller.

It's a bit about you and your luck... For example, it's better to take shoes without a box, as customs officers often refer to the shape of the package. So a shoe box is suspicious when it comes from China, the same goes for electronic items.
About 1 package out of 100 is opened and checked.
If it says in your package tracking that your package is stuck in customs, it doesn't mean it has been opened. Sometimes customs blocks it and I don't know why.
Then again, if you have 15,000 different packages arriving at customs with the same address, you have a higher chance of them being opened.
Electronic items and shoes are the most checked packages from Aliexpress, Sosh, Vova... Because they are more easily recognizable with the shape of the package and the weight, as mentioned above.

I currently have 4 packages that are going to arrive, the stress is always the same.
