Hello,

I just learned that Rakuten France will unfortunately be closing. However, how does this affect people who have a Kobo Plus subscription?

    The closing of Rakuten France marketplace does not mean the closure of Kobo or Kobo Plus.

    Rakuten has announced the closing of its French marketplace, but Rakuten Kobo continues its activities in France.

    Your Kobo Plus subscription is managed directly by Rakuten Kobo, and not by the Rakuten France marketplace.

      Good question to which there is no formal answer, apart from what exists on other platforms (Kobo Direct, Fnac); it concerns the fate of books already purchased.

      The old provider (in this case Rakuten) is supposed to ensure the transfer of the library and to send the subscriber an email to this effect, it remains to know whether under these conditions he will do it, otherwise losses and profits.
