Uninstall dropbox

Hello,
I would like to uninstall Dropbox, but unfortunately, I can't remove everything. Do you have a tip to help me clean up?

I have a Mac OS. I am not very computer literate and I had the misfortune of installing dropbox on my computer. I couldn't uninstall it even by going to applications and trying to put it in the trash. A window always opened telling me that it was impossible because dropbox was open. But I read here how to do it. Indeed, it's very well explained. First, you disconnect from dropbox, then at the very top bar (where you see the date, time, etc.), you will see the dropbox icon. Click on it and you will see "Quit." Quit dropbox, then go to applications and put dropbox in the trash. Luckily, I hadn't saved any folders. But before putting dropbox in the trash, you must check if there are any folders in the cache that you want to keep.

  @ogwéraOgwéra, I found out how to do it. You go to the Dropbox preferences, then you unlink your accounts. And then go to applications and put Dropbox in the trash. ;)

  How did you proceed to start the uninstallation?
  What are the system's reactions when you attempt to uninstall?

  Can you reinstall it as you did the first time and try to run the Uninstall directly in safe mode, which should be located in its folder?
  Without details from you on how you proceeded to uninstall, it's difficult to truly help you.
  Of course, before proceeding with the uninstallation of the application, regardless of the method used, it seems logical to first permanently delete the Dropbox files and folders, as explained here: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/restore-delete/delete-files; you will only proceed with the complete uninstallation once these data have been obliterated.

  You are absolutely right, CCMclaude, I got caught, I hope they forget about me!!
  When I type dropbox in the search box at the bottom left, I get 31 applications
  that are impossible to remove one by one or together, otherwise I don't see any dropbox program in the whole list of programs that can be uninstalled through my control panel ... remove programs. Theoretically, it is uninstalled, I will try your link, thanks.

  I'm sorry, but your link only connected me to Dropbox, once again without providing real solutions to my problem. However, I still asked them about my uninstallation, and a response will come from their service. Your link did not help me overwrite the Dropbox files and folders. If they are honest, they should send me the answer; I hope it won't be too convoluted. See you soon, maybe.

Open a terminal >
cd /Applications
sudo rm -R dropbox.app/

type your password

and there you go!

In fact, to remove the message "some of its modules are being used," you need to go to the System Preferences menu - Extensions: You need to uncheck the Dropbox icon, and from there you can delete it in Finder. To finalize the uninstallation, you need to turn off and restart the PC.
