Windows 10 Reset Issues
Solved
Hello everyone, I have an issue regarding a Windows 10 reset on a Lenovo PC. Last night I started the reset process for Windows 10 on the PC as I had not completed it before restarting it; the PC turned off and I may have accidentally pressed a key that I shouldn't have, which led to the reset starting. The issue is that I can't access anything, the only thing that has been happening since this morning is, "Hello, we are starting to remove some basic tasks," I go through everything it displays until the end, once that's done, it restarts and gives me the same message. I think I must have selected the wrong Windows 10 reset option. I hope I can recover this without having to go to a specialist or technician. I'm waiting for your help as soon as possible to clarify this for me, maybe I should download a Windows 10 program on another operational PC or do a command prompt or something else. I will remain connected while waiting for a response from you.

I'm going to take a little break ;)-
ContributorSelect the 3 windows 420 GB main one, highlight it (in blue) and then click next.
Windows will reinstall itself cleanly over your previous crash.
Follow and wait long enough this time.
At some point, it will say that it's done and that it will restart for the settings.
Remember to remove the USB stick at that moment, otherwise you risk booting from the stick and getting stuck in a "loop".

Apart from that, for your images that you host, instead of giving them directly, you do it on purpose ;-)
Look at this

Which one do I choose, the first or the second from the image sent?

ContributorYou see the difference.
If we take the upgrade, it will keep everything, so it’s not really what you wanted.
So go for custom
You will get to a screen that lists the partitions and asks where to install Windows
Send a picture when you get there and I will tell you what to choose
You don’t want to upload the pictures directly, it’s definitely more convenient.
You probably haven’t seen this

ContributorFrench, France... (or rather Belgium from what I see) Well, whatever works for you.
Accept the license
You reach a choice for an upgrade or a custom installation.
I'll continue when I get back, I have to run for 5 minutes :-)

It's good, we're going to make it lol after I choose.

Ok no problem, the messages are overlapping, sorry, I see them with a 10 to 15 minute delay.

ContributorYou still haven't started on your key.
Go into your BIOS
The highlighted line is your key.
It is part of a list where you can change the order
You need to move this line to the top
Above the Windows Boot Manager
Confirm and exit
Your USB key will then be prioritized and should boot.

@gugu01Hello,
I carefully read through the entire procedure that I applied for an HP PC.
Everything went well, except for the last step.
When I start the installation from the USB drive, I see the screen above.
I correctly select the main Windows partition, the operation starts, but after a few seconds, I get the following message: "Windows installation failed to reset the deployment engine. To install Windows, please restart the installation."
Could you please help me?
Thank you.

No, I still have the same message even though I disabled the secure boot, the key doesn't boot.

Contributor@GeckOsAnd even after restarting, the key doesn't launch?
If that's the case, there must be another security feature.
Can you provide photos of the BIOS so we can take a closer look?

Here I put the key in the Lenovo PC, I started it and then I pressed F2; I am in the BIOS (InsydeH20 Setup Utility), I have Information, Configuration, Security, Boot or Exit.

-
Contributor@gugu01In fact, we just disable this security to allow the PC to boot from the USB drive.

I put the key in the Lenovo and then started the PC, but nothing launched??
-
ContributorSo leave the key plugged in, turn off the PC.
Tap the F1 key and start at the same time.
You should enter the BIOS
Navigate and find the line "secure boot" which should be in the security or boot tab.
Disable this secure boot
Exit, making sure to validate
The key should launch or a reboot will be necessary to take the changes into account.

Actually, to answer your question, I just wanted to reset it to factory settings, but my PC shut down before I completed the reset, so I must have made a mistake in selecting the finalization of the reset.

I have just finished putting it on the USB stick, but I have the note message that I just explained, nothing yet on the Lenovo. I just need to close the note here, right?
