Great unmanageable space

To remove the blank space at the bottom of page n:

- Click at the beginning of the first line on page n+1,

- "Enter"

- the paragraph from page n that was followed by a blank will move to page n+1

- repeat to move all the paragraphs from page n to page n+1

- when all the paragraphs from page n have moved to page n+1, page n disappears.

Phew, it's annoying, long but it works

start by selecting your text Home tab/paragraph section, click on the small square at the bottom right of the section tab Indentation and spacing

or right-click on the selection and Paragraph/Indentation and spacing/section Spacing/Line spacing select single/and in Before and After select 0 pt

in English it should say
/Paragraph/section spacing/Line spacing/select single/and before and after select 0 pt

also check that you don’t have unnecessary paragraph returns by displaying this symbol ¶

“a large white space”: that’s not precise enough!

a) If the spaces between the words of a paragraph are wider than usual, you must have set the paragraph to Justified instead of Left-aligned (or Centered, or Right-aligned).

b) There’s also the white space of the margins; you need to adjust those.

c) There’s also the space between pages in page mode.
