I had this issue every time I launched the 3G key!
As "Carat" said (whom I thank by the way) .. it’s related to the disk..
So I disabled the driver of the 3G key disk .. found in device manager .. disks ....
For my part, it solved my issue. Good luck to the next ones!

so I had the same problem as you on my PC, which was due to a contact on MSN who sent me a link with a virus.
A friend who is a computer expert helped me restore my PC to a date prior to the problem, and everything is back to normal.
This, as he told me, avoids uninstalling anything while backing up your data.

If the problem had persisted, he advised me to totally reset Windows! Dangerous for all data but effective!

It worked for me, and I hope I provided a solution for some of you.

I don't know if I understood, but it's when I activate free pdf to word convert that I get this message. I click cancel 2 or 3 times, the message goes away, and I work normally with the said program. I uninstalled free pdf... the message has disappeared, but I need this program.

Simply... ctrl alt + delete => Processes => Wscript.exe => End the process.
Then you go back to the task manager in applications, you do "New Task" => "Wscript.exe", it shows you a message, you click "ok" and voila, problem solved, no more error messages (normally).

I think you are making your life more complicated with your uninstallations, restarts, and restorations. xD
Stop seeing evil everywhere and try to solve your problems in a simple way instead of looking to uninstall everything or seeing viruses everywhere.

6-search for the CDROM file in the path c:program files or in the startup list/all programs/(software name) and click on the right hand /properties/ search the path.
7- and finally delete it permanently.

Now I don't have it anymore thanks to the following procedure:

Start, Run, I typed msconfig, I unchecked everything except my antivirus, then I restarted and everything went back to normal.

Find your USB key, hoping for you that all the files are still there, and I think that will solve your problem... you tell me that you have been handling viruses from this key... something tells me that one of those viruses has installed itself, and is trying in vain to access this USB key.
