Hello,
I installed GTA IV at the beginning of the weekend and I still can't solve my problem. When I start the game, it works and once I begin the solo mode, a loading screen appears with a scrolling of images. The problem is that this loading is endless... do you have any idea how to make it work?

Hi. I'm starting the game, I hit start and now I'm still waiting with these images that soon I won't be able to stand anymore... The music stops after a while. Is there anyone to help me/us please?
Thank you in advance!

Yes, it's annoying... I tried to install the new drivers for my graphics card designed to fix bugs in GTA IV, still not working...
No, there really is nothing to do except wait always and again for that damn patch, hoping it fixes the problem (which is not taken for granted, coming from them). It would hurt me to have spent 50€ for nothing =)
If it's the same problem as on the PS3, it might come from the server at Rockstar, which being overloaded, would cause the loading time to crash (because during loading screens, the game apparently connects there to retrieve some information whose usefulness I do not yet know, except for online saves), but if that were the case, one might think that playing offline would solve this issue, which apparently only works on PS3 and not on PC.

Hello !!
So I have a problem with GTA 4 (by the way, it's not the first one ;) ) when I try to load a game in single player or multiplayer mode, the loading starts but I wait 10 minutes and nothing happens, so if you could help me out this time that would be cool !!

Here is the translation:
"I have pretty much the same problem
but when I launch multiplayer mode
the loading never finishes and even better
also when I quit the game?
I still have a GT 9400 card, it's not nothing, on the box the minimum is 7900
Rockstar really did it with the game and I’m paying for it on Xbox
but we understand why!!"

Hello, I also have the same issue with loading missions in the career mode. I have it on PC, I have the latest update for the Social Club of GTA 4 and the Games for Windows Live installer, but there's still the bug where the loading takes forever. How can I resolve this time loss please? Thank you for your help and responses. See you later.
I may have your solution. In any case, it has been mine.
If you have an AMD processor, install the processor drivers. You can find them here:

Now the problem is that I can't play because I don't have enough resources even when I lower my settings to the max and the graphics are terrible!!! So I would need to buy a RAM stick and a better graphics card even though I bought them before the game, so now I don't know what to do!!! I think I'm going to shoot myself or pull my hair out by banging my head against my computer and eating the CD ^^ but if you have a solution regarding the resource problem and if the solution is not to buy a graphics card or a RAM stick, I'm open to it!!!
