I accidentally deleted the SMS app on my iPhone.

Hello,

I accidentally deleted my SMS app on my iPhone. So I can no longer send or receive text messages.
Is there a way to find this app somewhere or to re-download it?

Has this happened to anyone before?

try in settings, general, Reset and finally Reset Home Screen for me it worked fine.

It's impossible to delete a major application like SMS. Are you sure the application isn't on page 2?

hello,  yes, I actually deleted the SMS app... it really is possible... try it if you want... hehehe  so I installed another program: Bite SMS.. it works perfectly ;-)  thanks anyway

Hi Elodie  How did you manage to permanently remove the SMS app from the iPhone?  I installed another one and would like to remove the default app.  Thank you in advance for your reply.

You didn't delete it but banned it in the preferences application permissions. You can block apps in there and they won't show up anymore. Just re-enable it.
