Hello,

I would just like to know if 8GB is larger than 32GB, and if so, I would also like to know what is preventing me from downloading a file?

Thank you!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.4

8 GB means 8 Gigabytes or 8 Go (8 GigaOctets).
A byte (in English) = an octet (in French).

So 8 GB is 4 times smaller than 32 Go.

WARNING! ""Gb"" (with a lowercase "b") means Gigabit, which is 8 times less than Gigabyte!

Hello,
to conclude
byte = Byte
1 word = 2 Bytes
1 word = 16 bits
1 Byte = 8 bits
The basics for programming.

Just pay attention to the spelling!
Byte and bits

Let me remind you:
8 GB means 8 GigaBytes or 8 Go (8 GigaOctets).
A byte (in English) = an octet (in French).
So 8 GB is 4 times smaller than 32 Go. Quite simply

It's not math but text interpretation.

Good evening, and you're mistaken, Scrooge; 8GB is larger than 32GB (=4GB)
Detail your other issue, please.

Good evening
I just got back to you since I specialize in this field
GB: technical meaning 10^9 bits (B)
GO: technical meaning 10^9 octets (o)
1 octet = 8 bits
Now for a simple calculation, you can make the comparison yourself
Thank you

8GB=8GO and I have proof of that!!!

On the PS3, it says 80GB=80GO, so for those who think they are kings of math and technology, they’re in for a tough time :)

Lol Yolo, do you think you have done any scientific studies with your PS3 box?
Learn your scientific conversions and come back with something concrete please. ;)

Non 4, a Byte (B) is composed of 8 bits: so 32:8= 4.

. No, a byte and an octet are the same thing, but bits and octets are different.

I think it will last a long time:

1 Octet = 8 bits

But 1 byte = 1 octet. (In France, we say "octet", elsewhere they say "bytes" but "bytes" and "bits" are not the same.

1 Byte = 8 bits)
