Very slow shutdown win xp pro

Hello,

Hi, and thank you in advance for your time..... Here is my problem:

One of the last two things I installed (they were uninstalled immediately afterwards) causes my computer to be normal until the Windows shutdown sound when I restart or shut down.

At that point, there's just the normal Windows shutdown screen, but it doesn't shut down or restart; it just freezes there.

I then have to manually finalize the shutdown.

How can I restore the proper shutdown of my Windows?

Configuration: Windows XP Pro SP 3 Internet Explorer 7.0 ATI 4850, AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+, 2 GB RAM

hello how are you???
Have you tried to do a system restore to a previous date
To do this, click on start ---> all programs -----> accessories ---> system tools -----> system restore

pick a date before the installation of the two "nasty" software

Keep me posted

What is life??? I know, it's a big mess

By choice, I do not use the restore system; I create an image with Acronis.

The problem is that it started with Acronis 11 and just before with the AMD Dual-Core Optimizer.

I.e., I had just finished installing my Windows XP Pro with the updates, so SP3, everything was fine.

I installed a little program (AMD Dual-Core Optimizer that I downloaded from AMD), no need to restart my computer,
I continued and installed (Acronis.True.Image.v11.0.0.8041.FR.). At this point, I needed to restart after installation...
and then the problem occurred...

When I saw that, I uninstalled both programs in question...
(because I am certain that everything was fine before these two programs)

So I didn't have time to create my first backup image...

There must be something to do to restore the situation (a normal boot, you know. :) )

Thank you again for your time.

The solution is to restore your system, what's happening that you don't want to use Windows restore,
everything will be like before if you make sure to choose the restoration date available before the installation of the programs in question.
