I've got a big problem with network bridges that created themselves when I set up a network at my friends' place. Initially, I created one to connect the 3 PCs, but the problem is that I ended up with 5 and I can't seem to remove them.
My setup:
A7N8X2.0 deluxe
Barton 2500+
768 DDR
2 HDD: 1 SATA 120GB Samsung
1 160GB Maxtor IDE
GeForce FX 5600 XP
Thanks for your help, I'm signing up and I'm going to hang out here, lol ;)

Hi there! :)
There’s a very simple solution to your problem, Rychter:
Go through the device manager to remove the unnecessary bridges. They are located in the network adapters section. Your bridges will disappear like magic. So, there's no need to reformat for such a trivial issue!!!
For those who don’t know:
- Right-click on My Computer
- Choose properties
- Hardware tab
- Device Manager button
- Expand network adapters
- Remove the unnecessary bridges.
Good luck!

Hello.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
By the way, another question. I have one PC connected to the internet and I want to share my internet connection to the second one. Can you tell me how to do it, both are running on XP Pro SP2.
I set the first one to IP address 192.168.0.1, the second to 192.168.0.2 with the DNS servers set to 192.168.0.1 (found on another forum on the internet) and it's not working.
Best regards.

Heu, by the way, what exactly has been bothering you for the past two months?
-
lol
it's really annoying, give me the expression, admins, but it's really frustrating, and on top of that the icons of the network bridges are taking up space in the notification area. -
And what about the restore points?
Always create one when modifying its configuration (before, of course).
But some are created automatically.

Damn freebox, and of course, there's no way to connect it via USB, soon it'll be far away, and there won't be any UBS cable (but a network of about 10m) -
YaHoooooooooooooooooo !!
Thank you MyLaw, these network bridges have been bothering me for so long!

Hello everyone!
I have two major problems....
1) I installed a network that I no longer want which changed the boot of Windows XP (I think it's because of NETWARE) and I would like to get rid of all that....
2) I have a desktop PC connected with a Freebox and a laptop with a Wi-Fi card. I want to connect my laptop to the internet, but the problem is that since I usually use a different Wi-Fi network elsewhere, I can't connect to this one anymore....
Thank you in advance!!!
