Bonjour,
I live in England and normally use AOL. This is no longer available to me on a dial up basis when at our house in France (where we have a France Telecom connection).
I therefore need access to as cheap as possible an internet site, with connection just by clicking on a window/icon on my screen, from which to connect with AOL.
Can you help please?
I am NOT IT literate, so need line/action by line/action instructions as to what to do.
My French is basic.
Thanks.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 7.0

If you have a France Telecom connection, you can connect your pc to Internet with any RJ45 cable by ther livebox.

If you don't have any livebox or connexion, you have juste a phone line, and not an internet line, so you had to buy a livebox...

Also, Have you got a phone line, or an Internet connexion ?

But, if you want juste to see a website, you can see it with the internet you have to write here^^

I have a normal France Telecom connection to which I connected my laptop with a telephone connector and through which I used to get a dial up connection with AOL UK.

I suspect that I just have a normal phone line connection. So where do I buy a livebox, please, and roughly how much would it cost? Ditto a RJ45 cable, please.

How would I then gain access to the internet? Would I not need a French ISP?

I am sorry, I do not understand you comment "...have to write here"

I am sorry, I am not IT literate at all, and need things set out in layman's terms!!

      Thanks.

You can go in a Orange shop to buy a livebox and have some informations about your internet access in your home in France, you have the list of the shop here:
