Hello,

I have a big problem with my MAGNUM DR 1180 home cinema purchased at Aldi.

Lately, I can't read DivX files anymore.

Could someone help me by telling me how to update the codecs or firmware of my DVD player?

Here is the version: V 0831 1 EU 0

Thank you in advance.

Rivamastic.
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

    Hi,

I have the same player, my problem is different: I'm looking to update the firmware (the chip is a Zoran 6, if anyone has any ideas). As for your problem, I encountered it a while ago and I simply restarted the basic installation (setup > divx). You go to the indicated website, enter the code, and you just need to burn the file you receive :) Keep me updated if the problem persists. Good luck!

      Hello Marcelostickos,

I apologize for my late reply, but could you please tell me how to do it and where I can find the website address?

      Thank you in advance.

Hi, the activation site is here: https://www.divx.com/en/vod

You just need to install the DivX player, launch it, go to Tools > Manage Devices, and enter the code you will find in the home cinema setup (button at the top left behind the flap) DivX registration. Let me know if you succeeded; if not, I'll give you my MSN to explain it to you more calmly.

Sorry babe for this very late reply, I don't know if you still have that home cinema (for me it only serves as an amplifier^^) but apparently if the player starts to "bug," you can forget the player (and just as a reminder, we're talking about a Magnum, you can forget any customer service!!!
