activate the Western and Central Europe map Closed

Hello,

I recently got a Tomtom GO 930 which only had the North America map available.

For Western and Central Europe, I get the message "This item cannot be used on this device because it must first be activated."

I tried to activate this product but cannot find the necessary codes.

Thinking that a lack of space was causing my problem, I uninstalled North America.

Since then, and it seems logical, my GPS tells me "no map available."

This is a purchase made on Rue du Commerce, so it is perfectly legal.

I just want to activate this "pxtxix" map.

I went on a Tomtom forum where they told me to activate this item, but without the codes, I don't know how to proceed.

If someone could come to my rescue, I would be forever grateful.

For those interested.
To activate the maps under TomTom 7, you need to create two files: a meta file and a dct file. These files are created using a small executable file and the activation code found in the ttnavigator.bif file at the line DeviceUniqueID=***** ***** of the PDA. Once these files are created, they need to be integrated into the map folders.

When you turn on TomTom, you choose settings, change map, select Western...;
TomTom will tell you that to use this map, you need to activate it.

There is no choice to select the map when the Tomtom starts up; so far, there has only been North America.

Thinking it might be a storage issue, I deleted North America.

It seems silly, but that’s how it is, and "it’s seriously starting to annoy me."

TomTom navigator v.7 For PPC WM2003SE/WM5.x/6.x And PDA  *****The files are already patched, no further manipulation other than installation on the device and activation of your map is necessary.*****  Open the Tomtom navigator V_7.450.9028 PPC and PDA folder and copy the file TT_Nav_7.450.9028.cab (Qvga or Vga depending on your device) to the SD card or the internal memory of your PDA.  On the PDA, click on this file to install tomtom and to create the necessary file for retrieving your device ID required for activating your map.  After installation, look for the file ttnavigator.bif in the PDA's memory card (normally in the same folder where you copied the previous file) and open it with notepad. Then locate the line: DeviceUniqueID=***** ***** and note this code on a paper.  Next, activate your map by following the instructions below:  On the PC, in the folder "activation\France 7.20", copy the file "France-14.meta" to the folder "activation\insert_meta_from_Map_here" then click on "RunMe Englisch.bat", a window will open, there you will enter the "device ID previously noted on your paper, then press "enter" and any key at the end of the process.  Return to the folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here" and copy the two files ".meta" and ".dct" back to the "France 7.20" folder (replace the files by overwriting them)  Once completed, copy the 3 folders: "France 7.20", "voices" and "art" to your SD card and delete the first file copied at the beginning.  There you go, your tomtom is activated.   If you followed the procedure, you should find the following folders at the root of the card:  -Voices -art -France 7.20  Finally, launch Tomtom 7 which is now operational.

My GPS is a TomTom Go 520 product number: AK6SL ASHTE  What I don't understand is that TomTom Home is asking me to activate this map with a promotional code (and not an activation code like everyone else), and this code must consist of 11 alphanumeric characters, while all the codes I see are 15 characters long...
