Hello,
I managed to see the HDD on my PC, but when I try to copy a file to it, it gives me an error message
(an error occurred while creating a new folder on the FTP server
Details:
553 Permission denied.)
So, how can I make sure that I can copy, paste, cut, or rename files? Thank you for your response. -
Salut les gars, I want to buy this Msp pro but given the comments I see that there are several people who are not happy :/ The question is: should I buy this product or not?

Hi,
I have the MSP 640GB and I'm doing pretty well considering the comments from others.
I am connected via WIFI to a live box and I have no complaints.
DVD file of 4.5GB, HD photos, and music. All of it goes through the wifi without disconnection during transfers. The only rule to follow is not to overload when transferring multiple photo files.
Also, I haven't formatted or downloaded anything to boost it. It's original with file transfer done via Filezilla.
Knowing that the documentation provided to set it up is a bit lacking, it's better to consult the forum and sift through the information.
I followed the instructions from "Verbation Euro Support" that were posted on the forum and the guidelines for Filezilla.
If you follow all the steps for the MSP 640GB and set up Filezilla correctly, you won't encounter any problems.
My MSP is next to my LCD and since then I haven't had any issues; I have all my music, movies, and photos at hand.
It's up to you to weigh the pros and cons before purchasing, but I don't regret it.
See you on the forum

VALEPHIL, if I were you, I would return it or buy it. There is a 2-year warranty, I can tell you that I bought one too, and I had no problems with anything.
So I simply think that they must be defective.
Good luck. -
Hello, the movie image freezes after a few minutes and I can't do anything except turn off the station. Does anyone know the problem and how to solve it?
Best regards -
I have the same problem as you, my hard drive freezes after a few minutes, whether I'm watching movies or listening to music. At one point, I thought it was a specific issue with my drive, but I see the same problem with the new drive I received after exchanging it with Verbatim.
Here are some possible reasons I've found here and there on the internet, but nothing has worked for me. Try them and keep us posted!
- The type of encoding of the files you're playing is not well managed (especially regarding avi).
- Overheating of the drive, make sure not to enclose the drive too much.
- Power supply not delivering enough current.
- If the problem occurs when using the USB connection, change the cable for a better quality one.
These are not very rational answers in my opinion, but we really can't find much information about this drive, either online or from Verbatim!
Good luck! -
I am in the process of resetting the system
(setup then do 0.8.5.2 and then ok) and also reformatting the disk.
I will see you tonight, I will keep you posted very soon. -

Hello everyone, I'm writing to you about a small problem with my MSP. Unlike you, I have no network issues—everything is working very well. I have an external hard drive connected to my PC that is shared, and I can see it on the LAN icon of my MSP. Everything was working fine with Windows XP, but now after installing Windows 7 on my PC, even after sharing the drive, it no longer appears on the MSP. The only solution I found is to plug the hard drive into my Livebox, but that's not practical for installing and deleting movies because I have to reconnect the drive to the PC every time. If anyone has a solution, thank you.
