Hello,
I'm desperately trying to recover my ALICE emails (aliceadsl.fr) on my iPHONE...
It's impossible to set up the iPHONE with the help (half an hour) of APPLE... who tells me to contact ALICE...
I contact ALICE, and they brush me off by saying that my question is out of scope...
In short, I feel like I'm going to cancel my ALICE subscription; it would be easier^^ unless a genius of configuration has already solved the problem!
Thank you in advance for the help :o)

Hi
I had the same problem and I found the solution.
First, you enter Alice's details and accept the connection other than SSL
and then in the SMTP address you fill in "smtp.orange.fr"
There you go, it works for me! -
Hello everyone!
I am with Alice.
I use the Mac Mail app to send and receive my emails.
Here is my configuration on iPhone that works very well. (I never have any problem receiving emails on iPhone, but it took me a little while to manage to send them. Finally, here are the settings for everything to go smoothly between your iPhone (4) and aliceadsl:
POP account information
Name Pierre Dupont
Email address pierre.dupont@aliceadsl.fr
POP Account Description
Incoming Server
Host name pop.aliceadsl.fr
Username pierre.dupont@aliceadsl.fr (your email)
Password -> your Alice password
Outgoing server
SMTP smtp.aliceadsl.fr
leave the optional field blank
Advanced
Use SSL must be unchecked! very important!
Authentication password
Server port 587
When attempting to connect, request a connection WITHOUT SSL
Insist a little if you still can't send emails because I didn't succeed on the first attempt, but it should work this way! -
Hello, I'm with Alice and Orange just like you. My phone is an iPhone 4.
Here are the settings that will allow you to send and receive emails from your iPhone. (emails from your Alice email address and your Alice messaging, of course)
Touch the iPhone settings icon -> General -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> POP account ->
If you've already filled in an account that you find useless, you can delete it by going to the bottom of the page, red box delete account.
Account: Enable the box
Information about the POP account
Name Pierre Dupont (your name and surname)
Address (your Alice email address) pierre.dupont@aliceadsl.fr
Description POP account
Incoming server
Hostname pop.aliceadsl.fr
Username (your Alice email) pierre.dupont@aliceadsl.fr
Password: your Alice password
Outgoing server
SMTP smtp.aliceadsl.fr -> ... -> server enable the box
Outgoing server
Hostname smtp.aliceadsl.fr
Optional username (leave blank)
Optional password (leave blank)
Use SSL DISABLE the box
Authentication -> Check password
Server port 587
Go back a little under Advanced under SMTP ->
Use SSL UNCHECK
Authentication -> check password
Server port 110
There you go.
At the first connection attempt, it will ask you if you want to continue WITHOUT SSL, click YES
If it still can't find the server, try again a little later because Alice messaging is not 100% reliable (sometimes there are small outages but never very long) but there’s no reason it shouldn't work with these settings. If it is indeed your Alice email address that you want to use. -
I finally have my Alice emails on my iPhone
you just have to "simply" (after more than two hours) create your email account: settings, mail contacts, add an account, other, add an email account, AND HERE DO NOT ENTER YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME BUT INSTEAD YOUR PHONE LINE NUMBER FROM THE BOX THAT CORRESPONDS TO YOUR ALICE IDENTIFIER 02........ AND NOT YOUR CALLING NUMBER 09 ......... and it works at least for me.
another solution: type aliceadsl.fr into your search engine: enter, and the Alice portal is there.
hi everyone. -
The solution is here!
http://ww11.forum-iphone.fr/sujet-6358-configuration-boite-mail.html.html -
Sorry, but even with Orange's SMTP, it's not working lol ;p
And as for the internet links... I had already done a Google search, thank you^^
Anyway, still no concrete solution... :(-
Yes, it works. See Naikicoul's message in this forum.
For my part, I started by selecting MAIL (and not settings) and selecting "OTHER"
Then:
- Name: enter your name or first name
- Address: your email address
- Password: your password
- Description: by default it will show your address
=> save.
A message will appear asking if you want to configure WITHOUT SSL:
Click YES
Verifying the data may take a while... don't hesitate to wait.. and even ask for the configuration without SSL a second time (put yes again)
Now, you will see 2 checkboxes above: POP or IMAP (for ALICE, in my case, I selected POP)
Let's check the sending and receiving servers:
Receiving server:
Hostname: pop.your_mail_client.fr ==> in my case: pop.aliceadsl.fr
Username: your full email address
Password: by default it has been entered.
Sending server:
Hostname: smtp.your_mail_client.fr ==> in my case: smtp.aliceadsl.fr
Save and exit the email account.
Then go to Settings > Mail, Contacts > and select the new account
Click on the advanced box (at the bottom)
- SSL must be disabled ==> to do: very important
- server port: 110 (POP port) ===> and I stopped there (that was enough, but it took some time for the exchanges to actually start) -

Hello,
I’m just like you: I bought an iPhone and I’m desperately trying to set up my Alice email account.
I managed to configure the incoming mail, but nothing works for sending mail. I feel like I’ve tried everything:
- smtp.aliceadsl.fr
- port 25
- changing aliceadsl.fr to orange.fr
- adding my email by replacing @ with %
... I don’t know what else to try.
If anyone has a solution, I would eagerly await it.
Thank you for your help.

Hello, I found some information here https://www.universfreebox.com/article/9362/Migration-des-mails-Alice-sur-les-infrastructures-de-Free which allowed me to reactivate the reception of emails on iPhone 3Gs orange and aliceadsl.fr:
In the end, I decided to try changing the identifier, unlike what had happened between Tiscali and Alice. And it works! Let me explain:
The identifier was cricri@tiscali.fr
It had become cricri%aliceadsl.fr
I changed it to cricri@aliceadsl.fr
With the same password, everything is fine.
So in the "Server reception username" (Pop), replace the % with @
Now I need to figure out how to send emails… -
I'm sorry I can't provide you with information, but I indeed have the same problem... and the same response from the HOT LINE Alice.

Hello,
Maybe someone has found the solution by now
I just got here two weeks ago with my iPhone and despite all the tests and after going through all the forums on the web, I can't find how to solve my problem
And another issue with Swirly MMS v2. I bought the license and it says INVALID LICENSE, oh great because I paid €9 and it's not valid.....
Help me -
Hello,
this morning I finally managed to set up the email on my Orange iPhone with the Alice messaging service.
I configured it using the settings below:
- email address
- pop.aliceadsl.fr
- smtp.aliceadsl.fr
I received the warning not to use SSL twice, and within 2 minutes the emails arrived on the iPhone 3GS
Have a great day everyone
P.S.: I had previously configured the pop and smtp on Orange without success and then I re-entered the Alice data. -
Euh!!! If someone has the solution for an iPhone with Bouygues, I'm interested because I've done the same steps as you and it still doesn't work for sending!!! What is the SMTP port for sending with Bouygues?
-
I found it! Below is the method for free adapted for alice.
Ultimately, it's the same principle as configuring Outlook 2003.
Go to Settings
Then the "Mail" icon
Function "add account" (if you already set up accounts, delete everything and start from the very beginning with add account).
Choose "other" (since it's free)
Choose the "POP" tab
Name: enter your first and/or last name
Address: enter your email address with the extension @aliceadsl.fr
- e.g.: zoneitouch then: zoneitouch@aliceadsl.fr
Description: click (it automatically copies your email address from above: leave it as is)
Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: pop.aliceadsl.fr
User name: loggin (with extension %aliceadsl.fr and not @)
- e.g.: zoneitouch%aliceadsl.fr
Password: ******
Outgoing Mail Server
Host Name: smtp.free.fr
User Name: DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING LEAVE Optional
Password: DO NOT ENTER ANYTHING LEAVE Optional
Since this is a new setup, you do not have access to the SSL option.
CLICK "Save" (at the top right).
Then go back to the account you just created:
SETTINGS > Mail > Your account
Scroll all the way down the screen
Select the "Advanced" function
and disable both SSL options (click the blue square to get a circle - instead of the bar next to each SSL).
Then close (the changes are saved automatically). -
The solution is very simple, you just need to go to SFR http://assistance.sfr.fr/mobile_tous/question-mobile/adresse-alice/fc-3016-69446
it provides the solution and it works very well. -
Hello,
could you help me with an iPhone at Orange and an email at Alice: I'm struggling with it.
thank you

For receiving emails, it works perfectly, but I noticed that for sending emails, it only works if I'm connected to Wi-Fi.
