I also searched for this TV series and I realized that its name is The O.C. (The OC on torrent sites) so maybe this will help you find it. I found it in English on this site: http://fsa.demonoid.com Create an account, search for The OC, and you’re all set!
You'll just need to find the French subtitles if you need them. Because I didn't keep the series. It's excellent by the way! So happy searching, and if you need help, don't hesitate to ask.
