Ti-83 Plus Dim Error

Hello,

I have a TI 83 PLUS calculator and when I enter something like 5x² in y= and I want to get a graph, the calculator shows me ERR:ERROR DIM. I know the problem has been addressed before, but my calculator is in French so the explanations to fix the issue don't really help me.. :s Configuration: Windows Vista

YES, this problem happens often. You need to find (in y=) at the very top there are "plots" and if there is one that is selected (highlighted), you move the cursor over it and press enter, and normally that's it.

Thanks a lot, man! I was struggling with my calculator for a little while too, but thanks to you, I'll be able to draw curves, curves, and more curves!

Thank you so much, two weeks before the exam I was freaking out a bit, to put it nicely!
If it happens to me during the test, at least I'll know what to do ^_^
