You type M or m and then press Alt+0179 and it gives you m³
or you type m and then go to >insert>special characters, click on index 3 and then OK

Type your m, then right click > Style > superscript, type your 3 and right click > Style > superscript again to return to normal writing.
you type m then ctrl-shift-p then 3

You have the formatting toolbar which may have a button for superscripts.
You need to add the button to the toolbar, or rather, display it. => small arrow at the end of said toolbar, add ...
